About
Sustainability
Flowers are a gift from the earth. We believe the business of delivering them should give something back. Here's how we're building a floristry studio that's beautiful for you and gentle on the planet.
British-first sourcing
We source from British growers first — from Cornwall to Kent, Lincolnshire to the Lea Valley. British flowers travel an average of 80 miles from field to our studio, compared to 4,000 miles for imported blooms. That's less carbon, fresher stems, and stronger local economies.
Seasonal by design
When you buy what's in season, you buy what grows naturally — without energy-intensive heated greenhouses or refrigerated air freight. Peonies in June, dahlias in September, hellebores in January. We'll never sell you a rose that was flown from Kenya in February when a British hellebore is blooming in Surrey.
Plastic-free packaging
Every bouquet leaves our studio wrapped in brown kraft paper, tied with jute twine, and accompanied by a handwritten card on recycled card stock. No cellophane. No floral foam (which contains the same carcinogenic chemicals as insulation foam). No single-use plastic anywhere in our supply chain.
Water-wise floristry
We work with growers who use rainwater harvesting and drip irrigation. In our studio, we compost every trimmed stem and spent bloom — nothing goes to landfill. Our delivery fleet uses hybrid vehicles, and we consolidate routes to minimise miles.
Living wages
Sustainability isn't just environmental. Every florist on our team earns above the London Living Wage. Every grower we partner with is paid fairly and on time. We believe that a truly sustainable business treats its people as well as it treats the planet.
Long-lived arrangements
The most sustainable bouquet is one that doesn't end up in the bin after two days. We design every arrangement for longevity — selecting stems at the right stage of opening, conditioning them properly, and providing detailed care instructions so your flowers last as long as possible.
